Bankhead Theatre -
Livermore Regional Performing Arts Center
The Bankhead is the inaugural venue of the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center and a cornerstone of downtown redevelopment efforts. A 500-seat, fully-equipped multi-purpose venue appropriate for dance, theater, music and conferences, the Bankhead is the home for Livermore area performing arts groups such as Del Valle Fine Arts, Livermore Valley Opera, California Independent Film Festival, Livermore-Amador Symphony, Valley Dance Theater, Cantabella Children’s Chorus, Pleasanton Playhouse and the Valley Concert Chorale. The theater will also be home to presentations by nationally-recognized artists and will support regional events as well as uses by community groups, schools and colleges.
Landry & Bogan was originally hired by LVPAC to assist in a building programming study. Subsequently L&B continued as the theater consultant on MacCracken Architects’ team. Landry & Bogan assisted in the design of the seating, sightlines, exiting, control rooms, dressing rooms, lighting positions, stage rigging and stage lighting systems, the orchestra pit plank system and other performer support systems.
